Last week, ScanMed RFC Managing Director Furio Bombardi travelled to Innsbruck to take part in the plenary session of the Brenner Corridor Platform. Under the chairmanship of EU Coordinator Pat Cox, rail experts are working on holistic solutions to achieve an harmonised corridor from Munich to Verona. The aim is to create the infrastructure and operational conditions for the effective transfer of freight traffic from road to rail until the opening of the Brenner Base Tunnel and its access routes.

Given that the tunnel represents a key infrastructure project along our Corridor, ScanMed RFC follows closely the Platform’s developments. Participants at the event also listened to a panel discussion figuring ScanMed RFC’s RAG Speaker Andrea M. Penso and former Managing Director Emanuele Mastrodonato.
