More good news for rail freight along our Corridor! As of today, ColliCare Logistics is launching its third train connection between Sweden and Italy.
In partnership with Hector Rail AB, the company sent its first freight train from Parma (IT) to Rolvsøy (NO) in 2017. Given its success, it then started a new route between Cremona (IT) and Falköping (SE), on which the third train will also run.
Considering that the transit time for these routes is approximately 48 hours both ways, this service is a primary example of how rail can have a clear advantage over road transport.
For Per Zachrisson, ColliCare Logistics’s Chief Development Officer, the launch of a third train shows the company’s continuous investment in green transport: “We choose to invest in this […] to offer a high-frequency transport solution between Scandinavia and Italy with the best price and the shortest possible delivery time. Our service is also the most environmentally friendly and efficient way to transport goods.”
Customers are also reacting positively to the news. For Pietro Montebovi, Freight Manager at Jula Logistics, ColliCare has shown great flexibility and adaptability to its clients’ needs: “[…] that suits Jula’s continuous development of the supply chain for our stores. This new investment […] further strengthens our long-standing partnership with a focus on more sustainable transport solutions.”
